Rosacea is a common skin condition characterized by redness, pimples, and broken blood vessels. If left untreated, red lines (known as telangiectasis) may appear. These are a result of blood vessels in the face becoming enlarged or damaged. Intense Pulsed Light and Laser systems release precisely controlled strong pulses of filtered light that the vessel absorbs, destroying it with heat.
Following treatment, the vessels quickly clear and then absorb into the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion. Using the Luminette Intense Pulsed Light system, Facial thread veins and rosacea are also treated.
The Treatment
The fairer the skin, the easier the treatment is. Treatments typically take from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the type and size of the lesion, and ideally 1-5 treatments for maximum results, spaced approximately every 4 to 6 weeks.
